What first began with a few families has grown with God\u2019s blessings over the years. The first structure on our current property was erected in 1954. The sanctuary followed in 1963. Our <a title=\"Preschool &amp; Kindergarten\" href=\"http:\/\/redeemerlutheranchurch.org\/wptest\/?page_id=116\">Preschool &amp; Kindergarten<\/a> was added to the original structure in the 1990\u2019s, with the latest addition completed in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Our congregation become an independent Lutheran congregation on September 13, 2004. The following year we co-founded the <a title=\"Mission Work\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unitedlutheranmission.org\/\">United Lutheran Mission Association<\/a> in order to continue our <a title=\"Mission Work\" href=\"http:\/\/redeemerlutheranchurch.org\/wptest\/?page_id=52\">mission work<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In September of 2020, we became a member congregation \u00a0of the English District, one of 35 districts of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.<\/p>\n<p>The Lutheran Reformation began in 1517 with the posting of Dr. Martin Luther&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iclnet.org\/pub\/resources\/text\/wittenberg\/luther\/web\/ninetyfive.html\">Ninety-Five Theses<\/a> on the church door in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wittenberg.de\">Wittenberg, Germany.<\/a> Our faith is founded on the Holy Scriptures and the <a href=\"https:\/\/bookofconcord.org\/ecumenical-creeds\/\">three creeds<\/a> of the ancient church.<\/p>\n<p>Quoting from our <a title=\"Constitution &amp; Bylaws\" href=\"http:\/\/redeemerlutheranchurch.org\/wptest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Redeemer-Constitution-and-Bylaws-Revised-September-13-2020wBookmarks.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Constitution &amp; Bylaws<\/a>, <strong>Article III Doctrinal Standard<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This congregation accepts and acknowledges all Canonical Books of the Old and New Testaments as the verbally inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, and the only rule and norm of faith and practice. It also acknowledges and accepts all the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church contained in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookofconcord.org\/\">Book of Concord of 1580<\/a> as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookofconcord.org\/\">Book of Concord of 1580<\/a> is also known as the Lutheran Confessions. One of the Confessions is <a href=\"https:\/\/bookofconcord.org\/small-catechism\/\">Luther&#8217;s Small Catechism.<\/a> It is a very straightforward exposition on Christian teaching, written for parents to use in teaching their children. It is also highly recommended for adults.<\/p>\n<p>In 1932, the Lutheran Church\u2014Missouri Synod issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lcms.org\/about\/beliefs\/doctrine\/brief-statement-of-lcms-doctrinal-position\">Brief Statement<\/a> to convey in a convenient form the beliefs of the Church.
